Making every 'Monday to Sunday' matter

A framework to make the most of your remaining 'weeks' every week

Read Time (<3 minutes)

Dost thou love life? Then do not squander Time, for that is the stuff life is made of. – Benjamin Franklin.

About 1500 weeks left—that’s it. The realization hit me like a freight train, and now I’m on a mission to make every single one count.

Reading "4000 Weeks" by Oliver Burkeman triggered my sense of urgency. We can calculate the remaining number with an average lifespan of about 80 years. Time feels louder now, like a ticking clock nudging me to be intentional about every single week.

Years are long, and days are short. To avoid getting lost in the enormity of time, I live in “weekly units,” which makes life more manageable.

Here's a simple and actionable framework for making each remaining week meaningful:

The ‘Life Punch’ Framework

I follow a simple 5-dimensional framework, addressing the key pillars of our existence:

Self (Health & Personal Growth)

Relationships (Family & Friends)

Work (Career, Projects & Network)

Personal (Finance & Admin)

Contribution (Legacy & Impact)

Each week, revisit these dimensions to ensure steady progress in each area. Here’s how:

Sunday' Mini Retreat’ for ‘Less Hustle, More Purpose’

Start each week with a Sunday' mini-retreat,’ where you set your intentions. This mini-planning session aligns your actions with what matters most to you. Set achievable goals under each life dimension and track them in a simple spreadsheet for a nice ‘at-a-glance’ weekly dashboard.

Why wait for the annual Bali retreat when you can have your own every Sunday?

Tracking your progress with a ‘Weekly Dashboard’

Use a “Weekly Dashboard” to list your top priorities for the five dimensions and their specific goals. Here’s an example:

  • Self/Health: Rise at 5 AM (requires sleeping by 10 PM), have a daily breathing practice for relaxation, go to the sauna, and swim on set days.

  • Relationships: Meaningful conversations with family, device-free family dinners, and daily check-ins with mom.

  • Personal Growth: Reading before bed and hiring a VA to delegate the routine tasks….and so on.

This way, your week reflects your values. Review your scorecard every Sunday, updating and refining your goals.

  • Ask yourself: “Did I make Time for what truly matters?”

  • Sync up your calendar with the weekly dashboard. Blocking in advance unblocks waste.

The key here is not perfection but progress.

Maximizing focus by owning your calendar and taming the chaos

Time Blocking to Boost Focus - With finite weeks, Time is precious. Try a “2-Hour Block” strategy for deep work or uninterrupted personal Time. Schedule blocks for creative work (e.g., writing or project planning) free of distractions from emails and social media.

This is your work ‘Vipassana’ :)

The ‘Win Jar’ & the art of dopamine hits

Life won’t always go as planned, but that’s perfectly fine. Learn to go with the flow, adapt, and make adjustments along the way.

I keep a "win jar" where I write down a small key victory each day and put it in the jar. Read through them at the end of the month and acknowledge how far you’ve come.

Celebrating small wins is incredibly important. Whether you've accomplished a task, reached a goal, or simply made it through a challenging week, take a moment to recognize it.

There’s solid science and evolutionary reasoning behind this practice. Check out this video where Dr. Huberman breaks it down about having extreme discipline.

Embracing time’s finiteness can be a powerful source of motivation. Ultimately, life’s quality isn’t defined by how much we accomplish but by how fully we engage in what truly matters.

Here’s to many fulfilling and joyful weeks ahead!

I teamed up with seasoned founders, investors, and experts to create an ‘Idea to Startup in under 15 weeks’ co-pilot program. It’s for corporate warriors who want to create their venture without leaving their golden nest. This program will help you ideate, build an MVP, validate, launch, and get the tricks of this opaque world of venture capital and innovation economy. Rose-tinted glasses are not enough to survive in the wild. 🙂

___Why is it called /SALTT______________

In Roman times, salt was prized as much as gold—it was essential and invaluable and paid as a “salary.” To “earn your salt” is to add real value, which is crucial. The phrase still resonates today, but perhaps with an even deeper meaning. Earning our salt is not about compensation only—it’s about contribution, fulfillment, and the courage to live with intention.
